New Page 1

Welcome to Dave's Thoughts page.  From time to time I will share with you recent things that have encouraged me and I hope they will encourage you also.

February 2009

Here we are in another long, cold, snowy winter!  Last fall I preached a two month series on change which began in August and finished in early October.  My text was taken from the first books of Joshua where the change of leadership from Moses to Joshua occured.  Since then we have seen so much change from the presidential election, bailouts, to a faltering economy, one may begin to wonder what is going on.  If one where to look at the circumstances surrounding our economy, there is much to be concerned about.
As christians, our concern is wheather our trust in God is sufficient to carry us through tough times.  Think of how God has carried you through your difficult times.  Was He trustworthy then?  Then He can be trusted now.  Be trustworthy to your church.  You have answers that people need.  Trust what God has done in your life, and in return trust Him to allow you to be a great example of love and encouragement even in these difficult times

September 2008

Alot has happen since I last updated this page, I will condense.  We had the chance to go to California in July for a getaway as a Juli and I relaxed we had time to pray and seek God.  We felt as though He told us to "Prepare My people for change."  I felt immediately drawn to the book of Joshua and a four week series began to develop.  God has turned the leadership duties to Joshua after Moses death and told Joshua 4 things.  1. Arise.  2. Prepare to Cross.  3. Cross.  4. Prepare to receive all that I have promised you.  Beginning the first of August I began this four week series.  It has been very good.  We face change continually in our lives, and the things that keep us from changing are the things in our past that keep us from becoming free in the destiny God wants us to experience.  Joshua was told by God that every place on which your feet will travel, I will give to you.  The weight of the past, anger, unforgiveness, doubt, etc., can keep us from stepping into the promises God plans for us.
