Meet the Meyer family. 

Dave and Julianne and their family are currently in pastoral ministry at Abundant Life Christian Church in Fayette, Iowa.  Dave and Julianne minister the passion of Jesus in other churches, conferences, and revivals.  Check our contacts page for more information or for scheduling Dave and Juli for your event.

Alex, Keagan, Evan and Hannah are Dave and Julianne's children, with Lisa joining in June of 2007 as Alex's wife.

Dave and Julianne were married in 1981 after meeting in college.  They began dairy farming on Dave's home farm in the beautiful rolling hills of northeast Iowa. After dairy farming for 18 years, they sold their cattle, their crops and machinery, as well as their farms, to serve the Lord in full time ministry.

During the Meyer's tenure of dairy farming, they saw success in production and quality awards.  In June of 1990, a devastating tornado ripped through their farm destroying the dairy barn that provided the income to sustain their farming operation.  The next several months were very difficult as the rebuilding process took it's toll on Dave and Julianne's family as well as the dairy operation.  A new dairy barn was built, but the struggles and trials began to take its toll on Dave and Juliannes business, marriage and family.  Stress, self-pity, depression, and alcoholism plagued Dave as Julianne also dealt with many difficult situations.  The next three years tested the Meyer's marriage and family as well as their faith and trust in God.

In January of 1994, Juli and Dave met with a Christian counselor who began to speak God's truth into their lives and the road to spiritual recovery began.  The Lord began to heal the Meyer's marriage, their business, depression and alcoholism as they put their trust and faith into the God of Heaven.  After receiving a prophetic word from a prophet from Pennsylvania, Dave and Juli began to understand the call of God on their lives.  After much mentoring and training, schools and first-hand experience from many spiritual fathers, Dave was ordained as a pastor/elder in 1997. 

In 1998 Dave and Juli accepted a call to pastor New Life Ministries, a small church in north central Iowa.  It was at this time that the Meyer's sold their farms, cattle, and machinery.  For the next three years the Meyer's learned to serve and shepherd God's people in the real life classroom of the church. During their tenure at NLM, Dave completed his Bachelor of Theology at Vision Bible College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

In 2001, Dave and Juli were asked to return to Fayette, Iowa to pastor Abundant Life Christian Church, the same church they left three years earlier.  They accepted the pastoral duties in Fayette and currently remain in pastoral ministry at Abundant Life Church.  Dave travels apostolicaly, is a director of Apostolic Team Ministries-Midwest, and preaches with passion to revive and inspire the Body of Christ.  Julianne's passion in worship, with many original songs, encourages many into the presence of the Lord.  Together with their family, Dave and Juli long for the people of God to be equipped and prepared for a real, everyday experience with the God of Heaven.(more to come)
